Bangladesh name 15 man squad for World T20

Farhad Reza has been included in a strong 15 member Bangladesh squad for the ICC World T20 in Sri Lanka.

Reza is a pace-bowling all-rounder who has impressed the chief selector Akram Khan.

"Farhad gives us a batting option down the order apart along with his role as a seamer.", Akram Khan added.

Farhad would provide good support to Ziaur Rahman who would be the lead bowler and is also a power hitter in the middle order.

The selectors got a good sight of these young players on their tour of Zimbabwe and Europe and it helped them analyze and build a squad for the World T20.

They have kept faith in Ashraful despite of his slow strike rate and would be hoping that Tamim Iqbal provides the fireworks up the order.

The key to their success would be Shakib Al Hasan who would at at No.3. The talented all-rounder is also working on his bowling with Saqlain Mushtaq who has joined the team as a consultant for a period of 4 months.

Mashrafe Mortaza will be the most experienced seamer in the squad.

Bangladesh will take on New Zealand on September 21 before meeting Pakistan on September 25. Both matches will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

Bangladesh Squad: Mushfiqur Rahim (capt), Mahmudullah, Tamim Iqbal, Mohammad Ashraful, Junaid Siddique, Jahurul Islam, Shakib Al Hasan, Nasir Hossain, Ziaur Rahman, Elias Sunny, Abdur Razzak, Mashrafe Mortaza, Shafiul Islam, Farhad Reza, Abul Hasan.
