SA leave out Steyn and bowl first

South Africa won the toss and elected to bowl first against England
Live  scorecard and ball-by-ball details South Africa have won the toss and chosen to bowl in the first ODI of the series against England in Cardiff.
South Africa have rested Dale Steyn from their side, while England have included Chris Woakes for his first home ODI in place of the rested Stuart Broad. Wayne Parnell, the left-arm seamer, comes into the South Africa side in place of Steyn.
England also welcome back Ravi Bopara, who has been absent for personal reasons since the first Test of the series against South Africa, but there is no place for Jonny Bairstow, who enjoyed a fine comeback Test at Lord's and won the man of the match award on his ODI debut at Cardiff less than 12 months ago.
England have won their last 10 ODIs, but will be overtaken as leader of the official rankings by their opponents if South Africa win today. South Africa also usurped England at the top of the Test rankings in the last few days and, as the No.1 ranked side in T20 cricket, will become the first side to be simultaneously rated No.1 in all three formats if they win in Cardiff.
The forecast for Cardiff is not wonderful and, with light rain falling, the pitch is currently under covers.
